US President Donald Trump attended the graduation ceremony of the military academy West Point.

Speaking at the ceremony at Michie Stadium, home of Army football, Trump congratulated the officer cadets on their academic and physical achievements.

“I BUILT THE STRONGEST ARMY THE WORLD HAS EVER SEEN”

Trump said the strength of the US military had been rebuilt thanks to his leadership, and said:

“You will soon be graduates of the most distinguished and deep-rooted military academy in human history. You will be officers of the largest and most powerful army the world has ever seen. I know this because I rebuilt that army, I strengthened the army. We did this in a way no one else had done in my first term.”

“WE ARE ELIMINATING DISTRAINTS”

“We are removing distractions and focusing our military on its primary mission: crushing its enemies, killing its enemies, and defending our great flag like never before,” the president said.

Trump also touched on the “Golden Dome Missile Defense System” that he announced earlier in the week, saying , “We are building the Golden Dome Missile Defense System to protect our homeland and West Point from attack. And this system will be completed before I leave office.”

“WE HOPE WE WILL NOT HAVE TO USE IT”

Trump announced on Tuesday that the Golden Dome will have the ability to prevent threats that may be launched from land, sea and space.

Trump said, “Imagine shooting bullets out of the air. This technology is far beyond anything that has been done before ,” adding that the system would greatly reduce the risk of attacks on US soil.

Emphasizing that the system was a deterrent, Trump said , “We hope not to have to use it. However, we cannot remain unprepared in the face of threats.”
