Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Öncü Keçeli, made an assessment regarding the decision of the United States and the European Union to lift sanctions against Syria.

“THE STEPS TAKEN FOR SYRIA ARE PLEASING”

Keçeli stated in his post on his social media account that the steps taken by the United States and the European Union were satisfactory.

Keçeli made the following statement in his post:

“These arrangements are of critical importance in efforts to bring stability and security to Syria. Turkey will continue to support steps that will contribute to economic development in Syria through its institutional capacity, the entrepreneurial power of its private sector, and activities that will be implemented together with all third countries that are open to cooperation.”

SHARA AND ERDOĞAN HAD A MEETING

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Syrian President Ahmed Shara in Dolmabahçe.

The Erdoğan-Şara meeting lasted approximately 2 and a half hours.
