Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır spoke at the opening ceremony of the Pendik Competence Development and Employment Center (YETGİM).
Kacır said that he believes that this center, which aims to train individuals equipped with the qualifications needed by the industry and service sectors, will provide new opportunities for young people by building a bridge between education and employment and will provide businesses with a competent workforce.
Kacır stated that today’s rapidly changing global dynamics are forcing countries to make radical changes in economic, political, technological and social areas, and drew attention to the fact that in this process, it has become inevitable to develop policies in line with the requirements of the age in order to maintain competitiveness and ensure sustainable development.
“Under the leadership of our President, we have brought our country together with development initiatives worth a century with an approach that prioritizes production and technology development in the last 22 years,” said Kacır, and noted the following:
“We have woven stitch by stitch with works and services in every field from transportation to health, from tourism to trade, from technology to defense industry, from security to agriculture. We have transformed Türkiye into a global production and technology development base with our research and innovation ecosystem that we have built from scratch, our planned industrial areas with strong infrastructure, and our entrepreneurial culture and qualified human resources. We see the meeting of our current workforce and youth with the competencies of the future as the key to carrying our country above the level of contemporary civilizations in the Turkish Century.”
Türkiye’nin sahip olduğu genç ve dinamik nüfusu yalnızca istatistiksel bir güç olarak değil, potansiyeli açığa çıkarılması gereken bir kalkınma kaldıracı olarak değerlendirdiklerini ifade eden Bakan Kacır, bu anlayışla, 10 model fabrikada, yalın üretim, dijital dönüşüm, ürün geliştirme ve enerji verimliliği başlıklarında, çalışanların bilgi ve becerileri artırdıklarını söyledi.
“NİTELİKLİ İŞ GÜCÜ YETİŞTİRME VİZYONUMUZUN BİR PARÇASI”
İstanbul ve Kocaeli’de açtıkları 42 yazılım okullarında kendi kendine öğrenme esasıyla, gençlere ücretsiz yazılım eğitimi verilip iş olanakları sunulduğuna işaret eden Kacır, “Organize Sanayi Bölgeleri bünyesinde kurduğumuz 85 meslek lisesi 23 meslek yüksek okuluyla, sanayicimizin ihtiyaç duyduğu alanlarda, nitelikli teknik elemanları yetiştiriyoruz. Kalkınma Ajanslarımız aracılığıyla mesleki ve teknik eğitim alanında 623 projeye bugüne kadar 2,6 milyar lira destek sağladık.” dedi.
“Bugün açılışı için bir arada geldiğimiz Pendik Yetkinlik Geliştirme ve İstihdam Merkezi de sanayi ve hizmet sektörlerinde nitelikli işgücü yetiştirme ve istihdamı artırma vizyonumuzun bir parçasıdır.” ifadesini kullanan Kacır şöyle devam etti:
“İstanbul Kalkınma Ajansımızın 63 milyon lira desteğiyle hayata geçirilen merkezimizde 5 sınıf ve 2 atölye bulunuyor. Merkezimizde sunduğumuz eğitim altyapısıyla; otomasyon, kalite kontrol, endüstriyel yazılım, makine ve bilgisayar teknolojileri ile yalın mühendislik gibi geleceğin üretim ekosisteminde kilit rol oynayan alanlarda gençlerimizin yetkinlik kazanmasını sağlıyoruz. Şu ana kadar 276 gencimizin eğitim aldığı proje kapsamında ilk fazda 1500 gencimize eğitim vermeyi ve gençlerimizi istihdama kazandırmayı hedefliyoruz. ”
Kacır, Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı olarak Türkiye Yüzyılı’nda Türkiye’yi küresel arenada hak ettiği konuma taşımak adına insan kaynağını güçlendirecek adımlar atmaya kararlılıkla devam edeceklerini vurgulayarak şunları kaydetti:
“2030 Sanayi ve Teknoloji Strateji Belgesi, Cumhurbaşkanımız tarafından 26 Mart’ta ilan edildi. Strateji belgemizde; sanayi üretiminde ve teknolojide tam bağımsızlık hedefimizi ve Türkiye’yi yüksek teknolojili ürünlerin imalatında ve ihracatında küresel ölçekte lider konuma taşıma vizyonumuzu ortaya koyduk. Strateji Belgemiz doğrultusunda gerçekleştireceğimiz program ve projelerle; eğitim modeli, üretim ve eğitim paydaşlarının desteğiyle şekillendirilecek, sanayinin ihtiyaç duyduğu nitelikli iş gücünün yetiştirilmesine olanak sağlayacak Sanayi ve Teknoloji Kolejleri kuracağız.”
Kacır said, “We will develop customized training programs according to the priority sectors of each province and region by creating sectoral competency maps. We will continuously strengthen the digital competencies of human capital with digital skills training programs and lifelong learning opportunities. We will make university-industry cooperation more institutional and encourage the flow of information and human resources between R&D centers, technoparks and industrial organizations.”
After the speech, Minister Kacır visited YETGİM and received information from the authorities.
In addition to Minister Kacır, AK Party Istanbul Deputy Behiye Eker, Pendik Mayor Ahmet Cin, Pendik District Governor Mehmet Yıldız, Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA) Secretary General Ziya Taşkent and citizens attended the program.
