Investigation into the pirate action on the July 15 Martyrs Bridge
An investigation has been launched into the pirate banner with Ekrem İmamoğlu’s silhouette and the words “Free İmamoğlu” hung on the July 15 Martyrs Bridge by six CHP deputies in Istanbul.
CHP deputies hung a pirate banner of Ekrem İmamoğlu at the northern entrance of the July 15 Martyrs Bridge at 19:40 today.
The banner featured İmamoğlu’s silhouette and the words “Free İmamoğlu” drew attention.
BANNER REMOVED
Bosphorus Bridges Protection Branch Directorate officials intervened in the incident and removed the banner.
INVESTIGATION STARTED
It was determined that the people who hung the banner were CHP Deputy Chairman Suat Özçağdaş, CHP Şanlıurfa Deputy Mahmut Tanal, Istanbul Deputies Nimet Özdemir and Ali Gökçek, Tekirdağ Deputy İlhami Özcan Aygun and Edirne Deputy Ahmet Baran Yazgan.
An investigation was launched into the incident by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
